5 The organisation's main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The organisations purposes are:
The prevention and relief of poverty of the inhabitants of Broomhouse, Sighthill and Parkhead without distinction of political, religious or other characteristics by:
5.1 Coordinating the Local Authorities, service providers, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to support local people by various means; and
5.2 Supporting and providing advice in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of the life of said residents.
