If anyone needs support in a food crisis, please call 07479256785 and we can help you. PLEASE DON'T STRUGGLE. We are open three times a week on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, from 2-4pm. Please note, donations can be delivered anytime during our opening hours, but our parcel collection time is 3-4pm!

To book a food parcel or make any inquiries, phone, text, or WhatsApp (free) our Food Bank number on 07479256785, and all messages left will be picked up. We are running on a pre-booked parcel-only system. If you require a parcel, the only way this can be booked is to phone or text the food bank number. You will then be given a time slot to pick up your parcel (between 3-4pm).

Please don't contact us for parcel requests via email, Facebook Messenger, or the website. Your request may not be seen in time!

Donations

If you would like to donate to the foodbank, you can drop off at St. Mary's foodbank during our opening hours above, use the drop off points at Morrison's or Sainsbury's in Denton or Tesco's in Haughton Green. You can also drop off any donations with the Vicar, at the Rectory (the first house after the Church Centre), or contact through the Facebook page if this isn't convenient.

We are very thankful for all the donations given to our Food Bank. If you would like to make a donation by cheque, please make it payable to St Mary's PCC, and write that it is for Food Bank on the back.

Thank you!

A huge thank you to all who support families in the area, through food and monetary donations. We really do appreciate all our community does to help. We also thank you for your co-operation and patience during these times of change.

About Us

Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’

Matt 25:40

St. Mary's Church and Community Food Bank was the first Food Bank to be opened in Tameside.  Staffed entirely by volunteers, we offer food parcels to families and individuals throughout Tameside who find themselves in crisis, through a referral system.  All food is donated by the wonderful Tameside public and churches.
